Recruiters from the Department of Juvenile Justice are conducting a month-long candidate search in 11 Georgia communities during October to fill professional positions for teachers, registered nurses and juvenile corrections officers.

Agency representatives will be active at career fairs across the state. DJJ recruiters will be in Albany, Atlanta, Augusta, Dahlonega, Dalton, Dublin, Hazlehurst, Lovejoy, Moody AFB, Savannah and Tucker. The agency is offering employment opportunities at secure facilities throughout Georgia’s juvenile justice system.

“We want candidates who are looking for ‘the’ place to make their work count,” said DJJ commissioner Avery D. Niles. “We want motivated applicants who can commit to helping young offenders from our communities overcome their troubled life transitions while in our custody.”

The closest event is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 13, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Lovejoy Community Center Job Fair, 11622 Hastings Bridge Road in Lovejoy.

Applicants should check for any late-breaking schedule changes at www.djjcareers.org before visiting a DJJ job fair.
