The Lighthouse Church’s children raised over $400 during their Vacation Bible School for the Mississippi Gulf Coast recovery project. As an incentive, the Rev. Shannon Karafanda volunteered to turn her hair green if at least $300 was raised. Pictured from left to right are Karafanda (whose hair is green), Samantha Regi, and Taylor Fancera, all from Fayette County. The Lighthouse Church meets Sundays at 10:30 a.m. at the Legacy Theater in Tyrone. Photo/Special.
