Dot and Bill Walker will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a luncheon hosted by their children at Dolce Hotel & Resort in Peachtree City. After lunch they will be entertained with some of their favorite old songs by the Chord Crafters Barbershop Quartet.
The couple met in Jacksonville, Fla. and were married Oct. 10, 1943. They lived in Jacksonville all their married life until they relocated to Georgia in 2001 to be near their family.
They have two daughters, Kay Fry and her husband Frank, and Connie Miller and her husband Gary, one son, Bill Walker and his wife Marcy, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Two more are on the way.
