A gas station in north Fayette was robbed at gunpoint this morning, sheriff’s deputies said.
It turns out the same suspect robbed a convenience store in Eatonton at 3:20 a.m., said Sheriff's Det. Joshua Shelton.
The incident occurred at the BP gas station at the intersection of Ga. highways 138 and 314 just after 8 a.m., as a white male allegedly armed with a handgun demanded cash and was given an undetermined amount of money, deputies said.
The suspect left the area in a late 90s to early 2000 burgundy Ford F150 side step pickup with an extended cab, police said. He was wearing a dark baseball cap, a dark blue Braves T-shirt and gray shorts, police said.
A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect, deputies said.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to contact Det. Joshua Shelton at the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office at 770-716-4777.
