Peachtree City’s newest police cruisers are sporting a different look thanks to the efforts of several police officers to design the new style, said Police Chief Skip Clark.

Clark said the idea of having a new design for the cars was the idea of several officers, so he set up a committee to handle the matter. Lieutenants John Jenkins and Jason Epps did the major design work with input from other officers, and after a few minor tweaks the scheme was set.

The new car made its debut in Friday’s July 4 parade.

“It kind of sets us off in a new direction,” Clark said, adding that he was very pleased with the new look.
