James "Jimmy" F. White, 83, Fayetteville, died July 1, 2008. He was born Jan. 22, 1925 in Fayette County, son of the late George Oliver and Elizabeth Dewey Jones White. He served as Fayette County Probate Judge from 1960 to 1992. Services were July 3, 2008 at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with Marshall Gill officiating. Interment was at Flat Creek Baptist Church cemetery.

Survivors include a brother, Sam White, Fayetteville; a sister-in-law, Ruth White, Fayetteville; longtime companion Lettie "Boots" Ashworth, Fayetteville; nephews, Ronald and Loretta White, Newnan, Mike and Nancy Daniell, and Ray and Pamela White, all of Fayetteville; and nieces, Joyce and Raymond Conn, Gloria and Ray Rauschenberg, Judy and Robin Caldwell, Gail and Casey Pyron, Sherrill and Ken Chambers, Dianne and Carey Hammock, Marcia White and Sheryl Watford, all of Fayetteville, Lynn and Bill Abercrombie, Macon, and Alice White, Savannah.

Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
