Fayette School Superintendent John DeCotis was among the 98 public and private educational leaders listed in the first Who’s Who in Education published by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

The special insert published in the May 23-29 edition profiled K-12 school superintendents of the 10-county Atlanta area as well as state leaders at the Georgia Department of Education. Also included were the leaders of top private schools as well as those from Atlanta area colleges and universities.

Profiles of the leaders contained their educational background along with highlights from the organization they represent.

Also included was a listing of the largest county school systems in the Atlanta area ranked by the number of students. Out of the 10 systems that included Gwinnett, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, Clayton, Henry, Forsyth, Douglas and Rockdale, Fayette ranked ninth followed by Rockdale County.
