Cecil W. Fly Sr., 90, Fayetteville, died May 4, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia B. Edwards Fly, parents, Ezra and Alice Long Fly, three brothers, and one sister. He had been a member of the DeSota Masonic Lodge #299 F&AM since 1945. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Dr. Tim Dowdy officiating. Interment was at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Jonesboro. Survivors include sons, Cecil W. and Nancy Fly Jr., Orlando, Fla., and Mike and Mary Fly, McDonough; grandchildren, Lori and Jeff Thomas, and Trace and Lee Ransom, all of McDonough; and great-grandchildren, Lauren, Thomas, Sarah Thomas, Jeffrey Thomas, Leland Ransom, Riley Ransom, and Aidan Ransom. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
