Patricia Brown Furlough, 74, Sharpsburg, died April 4, 2008. She was born Aug. 7, 1933 in Coweta County. She was preceded in death by he parents, Benjamin Sexton and Katie Sue Manley Brown, and a son, Ernest Neil Thompson. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in the Raymond community. Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Carl Calhoun and the Rev. Donny Shelton officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Survivors include her husband, Charles H. Furlow Jr., Sharpsburg; children, Patricia and Trinidad Gomez, Dwayne and Dianna Thompson, all of Newnan, Randy and Bobbi Thompson, Calera, Ala., Ricky Thompson, Maryland, Phillip and Tammy Thompson, Senoia; step-children, Charles A. and Joan Furlow, Hampton, Kenneth R. and Terri Furlow, Stockbridge, and Elaine Gordon, Grantville; a sister, Margaret Hanger, Satsuma, Fla.; and a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, Southeast Region, 2452 Spring Rd., SE, Smyrna, GA 30080.
