Walter H. Stanley, 82, of Fayetteville, died Oct. 8, 2007. He retired from Overnite Transportation Company after 32 years of service. He was a member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dot Stanley, sons and daughters-in-law Doug and Brenda Stanley, Ricky and Carolyn Stanley, and Anthony and Darlene Stanley; grandchildren Kim Watson, Brandon Stanley, Christopher Stanley, Matthew Stanley and Amber Stanley; great grandchildren Jordan Watson, Chandler Stanley, Caleb Stanley, and Stephen Stanley. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. The Rev. Glenn Stringham and the Rev. Brandon Stanley will officiate. Interment will follow at Camp Memorial Park.
