Randall and Carla Thayer of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Nicole Thayer, to Andrew James Rast, son of James and Beth Rast of Hampton.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Toby and Linda Cedarquist and David and Nina Thayer. She is a graduate of Starr’s Mill High school and Gordon College. She was a member of the Dean’s list and was a cum laudegraduate. She currently is a flight attendant for AirTran Airways.

The future groom is the grandson of Robert and Frances Walters and Marion and Hildreth Rast. He is a graduate of Lovejoy High School and Georgia State University, where he was named to the Dean’s list, was a Faculty Scholar, and a summa cum laude graduate. He currently works for Atlantic Southeast Airlines and has accepted a commission to the United States Air Force to be a pilot.

The wedding will be Sept. 29, 2007, at 2:30 p.m. at Hapeville First Baptist in Hapeville.
