Frank and Billie Samples, residents of Fayetteville for 31 years, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 14, 2007.

Before Fayetteville, the couple lived on Old National Highway in College Park for 19 years in the house they built and were married in.

Frank retired from the Ford plant in Hapeville where he worked for 31 years as a pipe fitter and was president of the union.

Mr. and Mrs. Samples have a son, Phil Jackson, and a daughter Jennifer Kenney, both also living in Fayetteville.

They also have four grandchildren, Elizabeth Kenney, Andrew Kenney, Philip Jackson and Adam Jackson.

They will celebrate their 50th anniversary with their children and grandchildren at a restaurant in Atlanta and will take a road trip together to reminisce about their early years.
