Recently, Fayette Christian School recognized several students for outstanding academic performance.

Duke University has two programs designed to recognize academically gifted students across a 16-state area. The Duke University program designed for fourth and fifth graders is called the 4th/5th Grade Talent Search.

Fourth or fifth graders who have scored at the 90th percentile or higher on a grade level standardized achievement, aptitude, mental ability test battery or approved state criterion-referenced test may qualify. Scores from either of the two most recent test administrations are accepted. Twelve out of 28 students at Fayette Christian School qualified this year. The fourth graders who qualified this year include: Lynnae’ Carr, Antrenique Jones, Marcus Jones, Sterling LaBoo, Thomas Mattison, Temia McColl, Janelle Morris, Mary Beth Pickard, Cassady Ross, Morghan Sumpter, and Asia Wiles. The fifth grader who qualified was Imani Winston.

This program is designed to identify students who possess high academic ability, and Fayette Christian School is pleased to have these students as part of its student body.
