Peachtree City Chapter, Order of DeMolay, recently honored John Bouchell, assistant principal at Starr’s Mill High School, for his many years of dedicated service as an educator and school administrator at their Educational Day Observance.

Championship of the public schools is one of the principles taught by the Order of DeMolay, an international fraternal organization for young men between the ages of 12 and 21 years. Local chapters serve as a “laboratory” setting for members to learn leadership skills, public speaking, time management and financial management. In addition to these skills DeMolay offers an expansive social and athletic program.

DeMolay chapters also work to become community assets through programs of community service. Each year, thousands of community service projects are undertaken by DeMolay chapters throughout the world.

Over 30,000 young men in the United States actively participate in DeMolay chapters today and well over one million men have benefited from the DeMolay experience since it was founded in 1919. Famous Senior DeMolays include: Walt Disney, Gary Collins, John Wayne, Walter Cronkite, U.S. senators, governors, business leaders and successful community minded citizens.
