Alicia Kimberly Emerson and Andrew Lee Byrd were married Saturday Feb. 17, 2007, at Fayetteville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Perkins officiating. A reception was held at White Water Country Club.
The bride is the daughter of Andy and Glenda Bryant of Fayetteville and Ed and Debbie Emerson, also of Fayetteville. She is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and currently is teaching first grade at Hood Avenue Elementary School.
The groom is the son of Randy and Becky Byrd of Fayetteville. He was graduated from Georgia Southern University and currently is employed by Georgia Power Company.
After a wedding trip to Mexico, Mr. and Mrs. Byrd reside in Newnan.
