McKenzie Austin Phillips, 17, Fayetteville, died March 24, 2007. He was born Aug. 6,1989 in Clayton County. He enjoyed martial arts, art and cooking Asian foods. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Pastor Tim Norris officiating. Interment was at Maunds Family Cemetery, Geneva, Ga. Survivors include his parents, Charles "Wayne" and Kymer Phillips, Fayetteville; brothers, Christopher Kyle Phillips, Fayetteville; sisters, Margaret Grace Phillips and Lucy Michaela Phillips, both of Fayetteville; grandparents, Buddy and Jeanne Phillips, Columbus, and Lucy Sutton, Lake Park; step-grandparents, Ira and Brenda Walker, Peachtree City; and an aunt, Lisa Phillips, Columbus. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
