Politicians seem bent on giving away birthright

As an American citizen I feel I am being robbed of my birthright. This past year I have been listening and following the news of our politicians working on devising ways to grant amnesty to illegal aliens, provide illegal aliens with health and medical coverage, credit cards, etc.

Frankly I am sick and tired of it. What kind of government are we running? On one hand we have politicians decrying each other for the forthcoming failure of our Social Security system, and for the other side of their mouths they’re trying to give away our birthrights as American citizens to people who not only don’t deserve them, but have broken the law to try and take advantage of what we have.

What happened to the system we have that provides a measured method of accepting immigrants into our country legally? What happened to checking backgrounds to protect us from criminals?

The latest news spoke of McCain and Kennedy working together with other leaders to get these amnesty bills through Congress. If they are successful they will pull the rug out from under not only our senior citizens, but our children as well. If they pull this off, shame on us!

Don’t let anyone fool you. It’s not a Mexican thing, or any other minority. It is a question of what is right and what isn’t; what is lawful and what isn’t.

As for me, I will be spending time writing to the various politicians in Washington demanding that they take a stand against open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens. And I will remember their stance when I go to the polls. All I can do is recommend you do the same.
