Iris E. Hamilton, 87, Newnan, formerly of Peachtree City, died March 14, 2007. She was born Jan. 24, 1920 in New Orleans, La. Services were at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Austin Fogarty, principal celebrant. Interment was at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Ga. Survivors include her husband, William "Fred" Hamilton Sr., Newnan; a son, William F. Hamilton Jr., El Paso, Texas; daughters, Elizabeth Hamilton-Byrd, Indianapolis, Ind., and Cynthia "Cindy" Highsmith, Fayetteville; brothers, John Ryan ,Dallas Texas, and Daniel Ryan, Pensacola, Fl.; and grandchildren, Douglas Highsmith, Jennifer Highsmith, Justin Highsmith, and Catherine Byrd. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
