This year will mark the 16th consecutive year the Chamber will select a Citizen of the Year. The Citizen of the Year will be named at the Chamber’s Stakeholder Breakfast and celebration on Tuesday, January 23, 2007.

For 2006, Willie Boyd received this award. Boyd, retired from the military, is an active community volunteer who recently served as the president of the Newnan Kiwanis Club.

The individual recognized does not have to be member of the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce or the business community. It may be an individual from any walk of life, and there are no requirements or restrictions relating to gender, age, race, religion, or ethnic background.
