J. W. "Jake" Dumas, 87, Brooks, died Oct. 18, 2006. He was born Oct. 11,1919 in Fulton County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence M. Dumas. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Charles Johnston officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park. Survivors include sons, Richard and Brenda Dumas, Fayetteville, Mike and Carol Dumas, Williamson, and Tony and Vickie Dumas, Douglasville; a daughter, Dianne Lee, Brooks; a daughter-in-law, Yvonne Dumas, Griffin; a brother, Bobby Eugene Dumas, Douglasville; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
