Don’t trust government with tax money.

Last year we were told that Peachtree City had a surplus of funds and a millage rollback could be considered, but to offset future millage increases the moneys would be placed in the reserve fund.

This year the news out of City Hall is: “Since we have to dip into the reserve fund, we need a millage increase and a tax hike.”

Is anybody minding the store? Where is the new mayor’s financial expertise and conservatism?
