The boot drive started 4 p.m. Friday and ended Sunday evening, with the assistance of Southern Community Bank.
Fire Chief Stony Lohr and Assistant Fire Chief Ed Eiswerth described the event as "a success beyond expectations."
"We are grateful to the citizens of our community who donated so graciously," Lohr said.
Fayette residents will continue to get opportunities to give to the Red Cross, as donations can be made at all local Kroger and Publix stores.
