Velma Banks White, 74, East Point, died Sept. 18, 2005. She was born Feb. 24, 1931 in Fayette County, daughter of Loy Aubrey and Violet Nelson Banks. Graveside services were at the West Cemetery, Fayette County. Survivors include a son, Michael E. White, East Point; daughters, Delores Diane Bernabez, Stockbridge, and Diane White St. John, Jenkinsburg; and a brother, Burnice Banks, Fairburn. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, East Point, was in charge.
