The small, gardenside wedding will be Sept. 18, 2005, at the Carl House in Auburn, Ga.

The couple will reside in Sandersville.

Mangrum-Johnson

Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Tavano of Houston, Texas and Johnny L. Mangrum of Lubbock, Texas announce the engagement of their daughter, Jamie Mangrum, to Brent Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hector L. Colon of Fayetteville and Mr. and Mrs. Ron W. Johnson of Atlanta.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel G. Wagner, Jr. of Beaver Falls, Pa. and Clara M. Mangrum of Lubbock, Texas and the late Calvin C. Mangrum. She is a 1999 graduate of Klein Forest High School and a 2003 graduate of Loyola University, New Orleans, where she received a bachelor of science degree in chemistry. She currently attends medical school at Loyola University in Chicago.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Marian Mays Slock of Woodstock and the late James Mays of Atlanta, and Vera Johnson of Morrow and the late F.A. Johnson. He is a 1997 graduate of Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone and a 2001 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology where he received a bachelor of science degree in management. He currently attends law school at Loyola University in Chicago.

The wedding will be Sept. 24, 2005, at Del Lago Resort in Montgomery, Texas. The couple will reside in Chicago, Ill. after a honeymoon in Jamaica.
