- Landmark Christian School is accepting admission applications from families displaced by Hurricane Katrina on a case-by-case basis. There are currently openings in all grades (K4-12) except 2nd, 6th, and 9th. Financial aid is also available to families displaced by the hurricane, on a case-by-case basis. Landmark's academic and behavioral standards for admission remain unchanged.

- Johnny Carino's in Newnan will be hosting a benefit dinner for the victims of Hurricane Katrina Tuesday, Sept. 27, from 4-10 p.m. Fifty percent of the proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross. Johnny Carino's is at 1180 Bullsboro Drive.
