Police nab father for slapping child in Wal-Mart
Peachtree City police arrested a Brooks man Tuesday evening after he slapped his 6-year-old child in a store, leaving a mark and bruising on the child's face, police said.
Ryan Jeffrey Grant, 26, of Grant Road, was charged with one count of cruelty to children, police said. Officers responded to the Peachtree City Wal-Mart after receiving a report of an adult who was being physically abusive to a child, police said.
Grant is the father of the child, police said.
