I-85 work will be near Hwy. 138
Although there will be no ramp closures this weekend, reconstruction work will continue this weekend on the southbound lanes of I-85 near the exit to Ga. Highway 138 in Union City.
Starting Friday night at 9 and ending Monday morning at 5, crews will close the two right lanes on I-85 southbound from just south of Hwy. 138.
Also, one northbound lane will be closed near Hwy. 138 to move barrier walls and striping.
Extreme traffic delays are expected and motorists are urged to find another way around the construction zone if at all possible. For information, visit www.georgia-navigator.com or call 1-888-419-GDOT (4368).
