If you thought traffic around the schools during opening week was a little thicker, you were correct.
"Everything has gone fairly smooth this week. We've had a few transportations issues, but nothing major," said Public Information Officer Dean Jackson.
During Tuesday's board of education meeting, Superintendent of Education Blake Bass said school officials were still looking at individual grades at some schools.
"There are some schools that may have classes exceeding the maximum class size, and we're working to correct that," he said.
Bass added the biggest problem the system faces every year is transfer requests.
"There are only certain reasons where we can allow a student to transfer out of the home district. I hope people are patient and understand that," he said.
