Closure planned Thurs. for part of Ga. 74
A section of Ga. Highway 74 south in Peachtree City will be closed Thursday night from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. so crews from the Peachtree City Water and Sewerage Authority can work on sewer lines in the area.
The highway will be closed between Kelly Drive and Crosstown Road.
All through traffic will be detoured around the work area on Dividend Drive. The work involves determining elevations and directions of existing sewer pipes under Hwy. 74, in preparation for DOT submitting plans to widen the road, according to WASA officials.
If inclement weather interferes with the work, the closing will be rescheduled and additional notices will be posted, officials said.
