A 31-year-old man faces criminal charges for allegedly trying to lure a minor to a Peachtree City karate studio to perform indecent acts with her.

Jose DeJesus Rojas of Spring Forest Court, Sharpsburg, was arrested on one count of enticing a child for indecent purposes in connection with an incident that occurred on May 28, according to Fayette County Sheriff's Department officials.

Rojas allegedly took the 15-year-old girl to East West Karate, 1981 Ga. Highway 54 West, "for the purpose of child molestation or indecent acts," according to Fayette County court records.

Records suggests Rojas and the teen worked at the shop.

"The subject took victim to their place of employment and engaged in hugging and kissing the child in an unlit training room," officials said.

The incident allegedly occurred between the hours of 1 and 2 a.m., authorities said.
