After greeting his opponent in the Speedway's winner circle, Father Vic admitted that it was his first race appearance but hinted that he would be seen again, challenging anyone "to take him on."
"I would repeat it in a heartbeat," he said, adding that he was "very pleased to do something that would support the fine education provided by Mercy."
Heather Dalton, a member of the OLM Bobcats Club, reported that the "Faster Pastor" race netted over $7,000 for the coffers of the school's club that will assist Mercy's athletic programs.
Dalton thanked Speedway operators Smitty and Caroline Lee, whose son, Doc attends the school, for hosting the race.
