Fred M. Martin, 56, Fayetteville, died May 28, 2005. He was born Oct. 12, 1948 in Newnan, son of the late Carl and Delta Faith Wallis Martin. He was in the United States Army in the Vietnam conflict. He was a staff accountant with Georgia Power, and received a 30-year service award. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Services were at the McKoon chapel with the Rev. Joe Strickland officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan. Survivors include his wife, Judy Moore Martin; sons, Christopher Michael Martin, Newnan, and Bryan Carl and Stephannie Martin, Buford; and grandchildren, Kayla Nicole Martin, Victoria Grace Martin, and Stephannie Lynn Martin. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
