The meeting was also a St. Patrick's Day observance since it was held on that day. Food was provided by Speedi Pig Barbecue.

Other events that night included Crab Races, an association fund raiser where painted and numbered hermit crabs purchased by attendees competed in a series of races to determine first, second and third places, plus a Builder Auction, where bidders, including associate members who do business with the local building community, were able to compete for the opportunity to take a participating builder to lunch. The Crab Race winners were entries from Lang Thompson, Fairburn Ready Mix, first place; Gloria Daniel and Cheryl Jones, Atlanta Gas Light, second place; and Lonnie Williams 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, third place.
