The Sons of the American Revolution strive to identify and appropriately mark the gravesites of American Revolutionary War veterans. Many Fayette County American Revolutionary War veterans were buried at old home sites. If you know of an unmarked grave, please contact John Lynch at the Holiday-Dorsey-Fife House Museum at 770-716-5332.

Veterans from many of the United States wars and conflicts are buried in the Fayetteville City Cemetery. Four veterans of the Creek Indian Wars of the 1830's are the oldest known in the cemetery. Other known veterans are from the Mexican War (1), the Spanish American War (2), WWI (12) and many from WWII.
