Again, this is a legal document in the state of Georgia, and does not need to be notarized, only witnessed. The document belongs to you. You will take it with you when you leave and share it with your doctor and family. You can change it at any time.
But you need it now! Young adults, young parents, couples, people of all ages need to do this now. We all hope we will live in perfect health to 100 and then peacefully die in our sleep. May God grant it. But this is a necessary act of love for those who will be in charge of our care when we cannot.
Again, I give you my personal invitation to come May 22. No strings attached. We just want to do this for the families of our community so there's no Terri Schiavo predicament for you.
