Blake's and the company's truss plant, Specialty Forest Products, has supported the Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia by furnishing the first floor framing and a TrimStar floor system for the association's "Street of Dreams" home.
The meeting will also be a St. Patrick's Day observance since it will be held that day.
Food will be provided by Speedi Pig Barbecue. Other events that night include Crab Races, an association fund raiser where painted and numbered hermit crabs purchased by attendees will compete in a series of races to determine first, second and third places, plus a Builder Auction, where bidders, including associate members who do business with the local building community, will be able to compete for the opportunity to take a participating builder to lunch.
Those planning to attend the Associate Showcase are asked to make reservations in advance by calling the association office at 770-716-7109 by Monday, March 14.
The Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia serves builders in Fayette, Coweta, Spalding, Meriwether, Heard, Pike, Upson, Lamar, Butts and Jasper counties. More information about the group can be obtained by contacting Sandy Boda, executive officer.
