Piedmont Fayette Hospital to host blood drive
Piedmont Fayette Hospital's Auxiliary will host an American Red Cross Blood Drive Thursday, Feb. 10, from noon until 5 p.m. in Building 1279 (1279 Ga. Highway 54 West, just west of the main hospital on Hwy. 54) on the third floor.
Eligible donors must be healthy, 17 years of age or older and weigh at least 110 pounds. Donors may give blood every 56 days, or six times a year.
Donating blood is a simple process that saves more than 4 million American lives each year, according to the American Red Cross. Blood is needed every three seconds in the United States for emergency medical situations. Blood is always needed for the treatment of accident victims, cancer patients, hemophiliacs and surgery patients.
Call the PFH Auxiliary office at 770-719-7078, for more information or to schedule your appointment. Walk-ins are welcome; however, appointments will be honored first.
