"The Gustavus Choir is recognized for its musical approach to singing and high standards of performance," a spokesperson said. "The tour program will feature a broad historical spectrum of sacred and secular choral music including Felix Mendelssohn's 'For God Commanded Angels' and Olivier Messiaen's mystical 'O Sacrum Convivium' - two fine examples of standard works in the great choral repertoire."
Also featured in this year's program is a recently commissioned work by Canadian composer Imant Raminsch, "Mighty River, Mighty Fire."
