Childers-Sheehan

Bill and Susan (Childers) Minter of Peachtree City announce the marriage of their daughter, Barbara Susan Childers, to Joseph Anthony Sheehan, son of Michael and Mary Sheehan of Alexandria, Va., on Nov. 13, 2004 in Richmond, Va.

The bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Barber of Fayetteville (formerly of Norfolk, Va.) and the late Frank Barber, and of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Childers of Chesapeake, Va. She is a 1997 graduate of McIntosh High School and a 2001 graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in social work. She is currently enrolled in the master's program in social work at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va., and will graduate in May 2005 with an MSW and a certificate in aging studies.

The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Catherine Anderton of Alexandria, Va. and the late Dan Anderton. He is a 1999 graduate of Thomas Edison High School in Alexandria, Va., and a 2002 graduate of TESST College in Alexandria, Va. He is currently the IT manager at National Science Foundation Federal Credit Union in Arlington, Va.

The couple honeymooned in the Caribbean and will reside in Richmond, Va., with future plans to relocate to the Atlanta area.

A celebration party will be held at the home of the bride's parents on Dec. 26, 2004.
