The tournament consisted of two divisions: 13-15 and 16-18. In the 13-15 year old division, Austin Barreras of Peachtree City captured his first tournament win. Barreras shot a 41 and a 39 for an 80. He actually shot a 79 but didn't double check his scorecard and signed for an 80. It was still good enough for a one stroke win over Adam Baaklini of Fayetteville who shot an 81.
In the older division, Wade Holland of Fayetteville shot a 77 to win by two strokes over Andy Smith of Fayetteville who shot a 79. Holland shot a 40 on the front and made a great comeback with two birdies and three bogeys on the back nine for a 37.
Tournament Director Art Sivertsen said that he is hoping to offer another junior tournament in the spring. He is also hoping to offer a Peachtree City Mens Amateur tournament in the spring and eventually a Ladies Amateur Tournament and a Senior Amateur Tournament down the road.
