The Second Annual Cattle Barons' Ball, a "kick up your heels" event to benefit the American Cancer Society will be held at the Kiwanis Exhibition Hall in Fayetteville from 7 p.m. to midnight, November 6. Last year's ball raised $95,000 for cancer research. This year's goal is $103,000. Sheri Waynick of the American Cancer Society said that they expect to exceed this year's projected numbers as they did last year.
The western themed, informal gala offers great food and drinks, with live music, activities, and a silent and live auction. Mine for diamonds or ride Billy the Bucking Bronco. Bet on the mechanical horse races or try your luck at the casino tables with blackjack, Texas hold-em or roulette. The 200 silent auction items this year include a golf cart, Lasik eye surgery, or an American flag which flew over the World Trade Center.
Dr. Mary Sue Goza and Gina Wilson, are this year's Co-Chairpersons. There are a few tickets still available. Contact Sheri Waynick of the American Cancer Society at 770-460-8920 to reserve your seat.
