Glenfield and the Windhams opened their first Zaxby's restaurant at 210
Worth Court in Peachtree City in October of last year. Construction has also
begun on the partners' next Fayetteville location at 130 Hwy. 92, near the
Town Center Shopping Center, which is slated to open later this fall. This
location will be the third for Fayette County.
Glenfield, who will serve as an operating partner and general manager, believes
the restaurant - from the atmosphere to the service - will continue
to exceed community expectations.
"We've assembled a great team of associates who, we are confident,
will deliver on the Zaxby's mission to 'consistently create encore
experiences that enrich lives one person at a time,'" said Glenfield.
Zaxby's most popular items are its hand-breaded fresh chicken fingers
and fresh jumbo Buffalo wings, smothered in a choice of eight sauces with
names like Wimpy, Tongue Torch, Nuclear and Insane. An alternative to fast
food, Zaxby's offers fresh, never-frozen, prepared-at-order chicken
wings, Fingerz, and Zalads.
The menu offers innovative Zappetizers - Onion Peel, Tater Chips (home-style
potato chips) and made-from-scratch Spicy Fried Mushrooms.
Zaxby's recently introduced four new Zalads: The House, The Blue, The
Blackened and The Caesar. Each is prepared at order with grilled or fried
chicken, three kinds of lettuce, shredded cheese, fresh veggies and juicy
tomatoes. The newly created Zalads offer more chicken, unique ingredients,
such as French-fried onions, and are larger than most salads offered elsewhere. Each
Zalad is assembled at the time the order is placed, versus being pre-made
and stored in a cooler.
Zaxby's built its business on providing the freshest chicken fingers,
Buffalo wings, sandwiches and more in a fun, relaxing atmosphere.Zaxby's
opened its first restaurant in Statesboro in May 1990, and by July 2001 opened
its 100th location in Jacksonville, Fla. Zaxby's recently celebrated
its 200th store opening in its hometown of Athens, Ga., with locations throughout
eight southeastern states.
The "quick-casual" format combines the ambience of a sit-down
restaurant with convenient options for those on the go, including drive-thru
and phone-in services.
