The new facility also provides a setting for conferences and training programs,

as well as events with the local Christian community such as prayer summits.

OM USA has been located in Fayette County since 1987 and in Tyrone since

1990. This latest building project was begun in 2002 and committed not to

borrow money but to proceed only as funds were available. The project was

completed in just over two years' time with money given specifically

for the building. This prevented any impact on OM's work internationally

as no funds were diverted.

OM USA represents the 47-year-old interdenominational agency which has more

than 3,700 workers in 100 countries and onboard two ocean-going mission ships.

The international ministry includes evangelism, establishing new churches,

distributing Christian literature, relief work, medical aid and community

development. Most of this is done in partnership with local churches.
