Senoia's increase in development is causing the city's leaders to take a breath.
"We need to get answers back on the capacity of our sewerage and water systems," said Mayor Bob Hannah.
During a recent work session, the council learned that the number of new developments in the city could possibly leave the city's new sewer system at capacity.
The Mayor instructed the city's staff to determine how much of the city's sewer system would be left for future development and how the city's water system would be affected by the new subdivisions.
During Monday's meeting, city attorney Drew Whalen suggested the city extend the moratorium until the end of December, so it wouldn't expire during the middle of a month. The council agreed, and the moratorium will now expire at midnight Dec. 31.
