Correction
A story in Wednesday's edition about Peachtree City's budget contained
incorrect information about the city's manpower issues with the fire
department which can force the temporary closure of fire stations when there
is a personnel shortage. The article should have indicated Fire Chief Stony
Lohr said two firefighters are needed at each fire station for safety needs.
Routinely, the department sends just one firefighter with each responding
apparatus, but it would be better and safer to have two firefighters for
each apparatus, Lohr noted.
