Antioch Methodist in Fairburn plans BBQ

Antioch United Methodist Church in Fairburn will have a barbecue, bake sale, and yard sale Saturday, May 22 at the church on Rivertown Road. The barbecue will be from noon until 2 p.m. with adult plates for $6.50 and children's plates for $4.50. Tea and dessert are included. The event also will feature live gospel music. PTC UMC plans chili dinner, auction

A Silent Auction and Chili Dinner is planned for Saturday, May 22, from 5 � 8 p.m. at the Peachtree City United Methodist Church, 400 Windgate Road. A chili dinner is $5 and a hot dog dinner is $2. A partial list of auction items includes: a 3-day cruise from Jacksonville, Fla.; a 5' X 9' trailer; Fox Theatre tickets; and exterior home cleaning. All proceeds will benefit the girls and boys scout ministries at PTC UMC.

Mom's Day Out now registering

The Mom's Day Out program at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church is now registering for fall 2004. Children ages three months to three years are eligible. Classes meet from 9:15 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. For more information, call Toni Johnson, 770-460-5275.

Fayetteville Christian Health Fair is May 15

Fayetteville Christian Church will host a Family Health Fair Saturday, May 15, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The event is for family members of all ages. Among the featured activities will be child fingerprint I.D. kits, information from the Fayette County Health Dept. and Fayette County firefighters, blood pressure tests, blood sugar tests, hearing tests, chiropractic evaluations and many other health related activities. Introductory Prism weight loss meeting is June 5

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have an introductory meeting of the Prism Weight-Loss Program on Saturday, June 5 at 9:30 a.m. in the church gymnasium.
