Gleen is running for the 8th Congressional District seat against state Rep. Lynn Westmoreland and state Sen. Mike Crotts in July's Republican primary.
He pledged to always listen to his military advisors and said spending for veterans programs has increased dramatically under President George Bush.
"Veterans shouldn't have to want for benefits," he said.
Callaway, who has known Glenn for years, said it's crucial to keep the military strong.
"We must make sure they have the equipment and support they need," he said.
Glenn closed the press conference by saying he would always be available to his constituents after he's elected.
