Competing against nine other
teams in Georgia's Southwest Division, SCAT scored 5,860 points to
win the meet over Chattahoochee Gold (4,765), Carrollton Bluefins (3,862),
Swim Macon (2,741) and Warner Robins (1,982).
"This was one of the closest
divisional meets ever, and it took teamwork to accomplish this victory,"
said SCAT head coach Jamey Myers, whose team entered 115 swimmers while
Chattahoochee Gold brought 140. "It was not just the numbers and
the home team advantage that allowed us to win, but the quality of our
swimming. We were able to win the medal count, which is a good indication
of the quality of swimming."
Leading the medal counts were
the following gold-medal divisional champion relay teams:
- 11-12 Girls, 200 free
relay (Kiersten Mosssburg, Jessica Heimann, Kelsey Pratt, Bailey Cartwright).
- 11-12 Boys, 200 free
and 200 medley relays (SamChun Shimabe, Andy Lucak, Casey Blanchard, Alex
Harmon, Jacob Siri).

relay (Julie Glass, Jalee Walters, Keaton Hannon, Sarah Larson).
