The Holly Grove history room
will be opened for tours and several books written on women in the AME
church will be on consignment and available for purchase.
Holly Grove has a rich history
in the Fayette community. As one of the oldest churches in Peachtree City,
Holly Grove was established in 1897 near the banks of Camp Creek in western
Fayette County.
The church has survived several
natural disasters and has been in its current location, 400 Holly Grove
Church Rd. in Peachtree City, since 1980. It is the only church in Fayette
County to have a historical marker on its grounds.
For further information on
the church or Black History Month events, call 678-817-9900.
