At their meeting Tuesday night,
commissioners said they appreciated the developer's flexibility.
Early on, the plans were changed to create room for two-way traffic in
front of the restaurant to create an access road that links to the J&R
Clothing plaza next door.
Plans for a second Wendy's
restaurant on Ga. Highway 85 South, however, still have quite a bit of
work to be done before the commission's Jan. 27 meeting. The restaurant
would be located across from the north entrance to the Kroger shopping
center across the highway.
Commissioners expressed concern
about the design elements that are "corporate" in nature which
essentially function as signs.
